Getting here
The lodge sits on the Uros floating islands in the Bay of Puno. The only way in is by boat, and the ride is part of the trip.
The route
Puno
Your starting point. If you fly in, the nearest airport is Juliaca, an hour away by road.
Qalapajra port
A small jetty ten minutes from the town centre. We meet you there.
Uros Islands
Twenty minutes by boat through the reed beds to the lodge.

- Altitude
- We are at 3,810 metres. If you are coming from the coast, take your first day slowly, walk at an easy pace and drink plenty of water.
- Weather
- It is cold all year round, especially at night and early in the morning. The daytime sun is strong.
- What to pack
- Warm layers, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and something waterproof for the boat.
- Cars
- There is no parking: we are in the middle of the lake. If you drive, leave the car in Puno.
